This list is not for ordering, but simply to view timberswe stock for making engraved products

Products which use timbers have lists of timbers available, these are selected as part of product order. You will find  not all timbers can be used for all products.

        • European Beech (Fagus sylvatica)

          tablets and thin slices of Beech were probably the earliest European books within our present memory. Good for laser engraving. used for boxes particularly for engraved glasses.

              • Celery Top Pine (Phyllcocladus aspleniifolius )

                Phyllcocladus aspleniifolius

                One of the best known of Tasmania's native conifers. Medium-sized, commonly 20-30m tall and .5-.9m in diameter. The stem is usually well-formed even when growing on very poor soils. Lower branches are usually horizontal and occur in whorls. Laser engraved for signs and award plaques.

                                              Tree trunks are free of branches to a considerable height. Timber is good for laser cut and engraved boxes for wedding glasses.

                                                    The trunk, usually without buttresses, is normally straight. Well know for fleck effect in quarter cut. Desk signs and timber engraved boxes are made with silky oak.

                                                                While the timber is useful for heavy construction, flooring, framing and fencing, the species often suffers from form problems, making utilisable logs hard to produce. laser engraved exterior signs, and timber boxes all show up great detail.
